Diagnose your hand condition

Numb or tingling fingers +
Numbness, pins and needles or tingling may relate to which fingers are affected.
Lumps +
Lumps in the hand or wrist are common and are often benign. A lump that changes size is commonly a ganglion cyst.
Bent or flexed finger +
A finger that clicks, locks or gradually bends into the palm may suggest trigger finger or Dupuytren’s disease.
Thumb pain +
Thumb pain is often worse with pinch grip, opening jars, turning keys or lifting heavier objects.
Wrist pain +
Wrist pain can come from the thumb side, little finger side, back of the wrist or the whole wrist.
Hand and wrist injuries +
Injuries may cause immediate pain, swelling, bruising, deformity or loss of movement.
